A fire alarm zone plan is a vital part of any fire detection and alarm system. It is a requirement of BS 5839-1 that a clear, up-to-date zone plan is displayed next to every fire alarm control and indicating equipment (CIE) panel. Without it, both building occupants and the fire and rescue service may lose valuable time in an emergency.
